The Northern Beaches community and exhibition visitors have voted for the most inspiring works in the 2025 Environmental Art & Design Prize (EADP) People’s Choice Awards.
The EADP is an annual highlight on the Northern Beaches cultural calendar, providing a platform for artists, designers and makers whose work addresses pressing environmental issues and fosters community dialogue. Now in its fifth year, continues to celebrate creative voices that champion environmental awareness and sustainability.
This year, hundreds of exhibition visitors cast their votes, making the People’s Choice Awards a true reflection of community values and appreciation for thought-provoking art and design.
The crowd favourites for each category were Fan Dongwang’s Nine gum trees for the Art category, Susie Roberts’ Star for the Design category, and Lucinda “Louie” Ornelas’ Squawks the grubinator for the Young Artists and Designers category.
Northern Beaches Mayor Sue Heins congratulated all the artists and designers who took part in this year EADP.
“The People’s Choice Awards highlight the power of art to inspire positive change and engage our community in important conversations about the environment.
“The diversity and calibre of entries this year was outstanding, and the public’s response has been incredible.”
The 2025 People’s Choice Awards winners represent a vibrant cross-section of mediums and perspectives, ranging from painting and sculpture to digital installations and innovative product designs.
