Dust off your dancing shoes and don your coolest 1960s threads, because the much-loved Bilgola Plateau Public School is turning 60 and will celebrate with a village fete this weekend.
The fair is back for the first time in 10 years, and will be held on Sunday 14 September from 10am to 3pm. It promises to be a fun event, featuring rides and a huge obstacle course, a games alley and even a giant slide.
A silent disco will be held too with live sets from Toni Pearen with DJ Peewee Ferris, and the Bilgola Rave Collective featuring DJs Weekend Grooves and John Blenk.
Renowned Italian cook Silvia Colloca will be on hand for cake box judging, there will be plenty of food stalls available and the village fete will even be home to a dog show, with awards for ‘best dog trick’ and ‘cutest puppy.’
There are also three hampers up for grabs, ranging in value from $800 to $1,500, plus a silent auction with great experiences to bid on.
The Bilgola Plateau Public School Village Fete will be a celebration of decades of community, learning, and memories from its first teachers and students to the vibrant school it is today.
