A cyclist died after a crash with a bus on Bradleys Head Road in Mosman yesterday morning.

At about 10.35am on 6 July, emergency services were called to Bradleys Head Road, Mosman, outside Taronga Zoo, after reports a cyclist had collided with a bus.

The cyclist, who was aged in his 50s, died at the scene.

Nine News identified the cyclist as Tim Miles. Mr Miles, a businessman and motorsport enthusiast, was riding with his wife at the time of the collision.

The bus driver was uninjured and taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

The four passengers on board the bus at the time were uninjured.

Officers attached to North Shore Police Area Command established a crime scene which will be examined by specialist police from the Crash Investigation Unit.

Traffic diversions were put in place and motorists were urged to avoid the area.

As inquiries continue, anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam and or mobile phone footage about the incident urged to contact Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
