Australian ultra-endurance athlete Aaron Crook is gearing up for one of the toughest challenges on the planet — the 6633 Arctic Ultra in Canada’s Yukon this Feb. He’ll cover 610km over nine days in extreme arctic conditions.
The only Australian among 11 global competitors, Aaron is racing to support The Sebastian Foundation, a charity founded by Jules and Guy Sebastian, which promotes youth mental health and resilience, and the Adelaide Crows Foundation, dedicated to engaging young people through sport.
Aaron is being sponsored by Harbord Hotel and Q Station as he takes on one of the most demanding ultra-endurance races on earth.
To rally community support, Harbord Hotel in Freshwater is partnering with The Morning Club for a free 5km fun run around Freshie and Curly at 7am on Saturday, 8 February.
The hotel is offering some post-run recovery essentials at 8am in the courtyard, including ice baths from Nimbus, a sauna from Cedar & Salt, and brekkie by Barrel One. All proceeds from coffee sales will go towards Aarons charities.
Meet on the grass outside Harbord bottle shop by 7am and enjoy an invigorating run, followed by recovery and breakfast at Harbord Hotel.
