Three Northern Beaches clubs have scored awards in the 2024 Your Local Club Perfect Plate Awards.

Northern Metro awards went to Balgowlah RSL’s The Wine Room for seared scallops with housemade spinach tortellini, Dee Why RSL’s Flame for its seared Canadian scallops with green pea (pictured) and bacon risotto and Manly 16 Ft Sailing Club (Skiff Club) for its Tasmanian grilled octopus.

Dee Why RSL Club’s Flame also ranked third in the state for its seared Canadian scallops with green pea and bacon risotto.

Over 84,700 Perfect Plate dishes were eaten statewide, with the competition’s ambassadors, celebrity chefs Matt Moran and Courtney Roulston, visiting 55 participating clubs to meet the competing chefs and taste their creations.

Diners could only vote for each Perfect Plate dish once, and a $100 dining voucher was given away every day of the competition. The two diners who voted for the most Perfect Plate dishes will each win a ‘foodie getaway’ for two valued at $3,500.

“Clubs took the Perfect Plate competition to a whole new level this year; I was so impressed with what they plated up,” said Mr Moran.
