Northern Beaches Council passed a resolution at a meeting on 19 December 2023 to commence public exhibition of the draft Plan of Management (PoM) for Lot 2 DP 827733, located at 316 Hudson Parade, Clareville.
The draft PoM, available for public scrutiny for a minimum of 42 days, allows the granting of a license to the owner of Lot 1, enabling the construction and use of a boatshed along with access stairs on the site.
A boatshed that stood on the site for decades was demolished in 2018 and the footprint poses a safety risk. The land was dedicated to the Council in 1993, accompanied by a longstanding agreement permitting access for the property owner at Lot 1.
Upon adoption, the PoM would facilitate the issuance of a new license and ensure safe access through the foreshore area within the site for the public and the owner of Lot 1.
Residents are encouraged to share their insights on the draft PoM through the submission form on the council website.
All feedback will be publicly available in the Community Engagement Report, with redactions for privacy and exclusion of discriminatory or offensive content.
