Sun Run 2024 has officially sold out, with the biggest turnout ever in the event’s history.
With 7,000 participants, this year’s event has surpassed the previous record set in 2016.
Sun Run follows a scenic route that stretches from iconic Dee Why to Manly Beach, with entrants choosing to participate in a 7km or 10km course.
The fun run is open to all people, from experienced runners striving for a personal best to novice runners, pram pushers and even those dressed in costume.
Participants can also choose to raise funds for a charity or cause close to their heart with over $36k raised so far – well on the way to our $100,000 target.
This year Nedd Brockmann will join the pack at the starting line. He is known for his incredible work of raising $2.5 million for the charity We Are Mobilise by completing a gruelling run from Perth to Sydney in an amazing 47 days. Running almost 100km a day for 46.5 days, he became the fastest ever Australian to achieve this feat.
Brockmann said he can’t wait to participate in Sun Run 2024 and meet all the runners participating on the day.
“The run is about getting off the couch, getting into the fresh air with like-minded people, having some fun and at the same time raising money for people who need it,” Brockmann said.
