Get a pair of red socks, join Kidney Health Australia’s Red Socks Run, and tackle kidney disease this October. Participants are encouraged to run, walk, or cycle 60 kilometres, uniting for a cause that affects 1.8 million Australians.
The Red Socks Run is a free virtual campaign to raise awareness and funds that can lead to life-changing research, vital support services and treatments for kidney disease. The run will be held from 1 to 31 October, and participants will be able to purchase special Red Socks inspired by the cold felt during dialysis and wear them on their run as a symbol of solidarity.
Approximately two million Australian adults live with chronic kidney disease, but many are asymptomatic, making early diagnosis vital. On average, 66 Australians die daily from kidney disease, which currently has no cure.
Register for the Red Socks Run at redsocksrun.org.au and wear the limited-edition Red Socks throughout October to show your support.
