The Northern Beaches Young Writers’ Competition is now accepting entries from promising young creative writers in the region. This year’s theme word is “promise,” and students up to and including year 12 who are members of the Northern Beaches Library Service and live or attend school in the area are invited to participate.

The competition offers a chance to win prizes, meet an author judge, and receive personalized feedback on your entry. Finalists will be recognized in an awards event and have their stories published in a library eBook.

Entries can be submitted online via the entry form as a Word document or physically to a local library with a completed entry form. The competition closes at midnight on 31 May 2023.

The panel of judges for this year’s competition is composed of talented authors and illustrators, whose bios can be found on the competition’s website.
