Mosman Fire Station is opening its doors to the community for the annual Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) Open Day on 13 May. Between 10 am and 2 pm, locals can meet and greet firefighters, explore fire engines, and get safety advice to prepare their homes for a safe winter.

The open day will educate families on creating a fire plan to teach all members what to do in the event of a fire emergency at home.

Residents who wish to receive free safety advice can request an at-home visit from their local Fire Brigade. Having essential fire safety equipment, such as working smoke alarms, a small extinguisher, and a fire blanket, is crucial for every household.

Additionally, regular cleaning of lint filters in clothes dryers and avoiding overloading power points can make a significant difference in preventing fires.

Visit the Mosman Fire Station Open Day at 730 Military Road and take the first step towards protecting your home from fire.
