Northern Beaches council is seeking community input in a bid to help save Manly Life Saving Club’s location and heritage.

While the club is loved by many locals, members and volunteers and is celebrated as one of the oldest clubs in Australia, council says its facilities on longer meet the needs of its users.

In 2018, council invited the community to share their ideas for its renewal, which they gained some insights into what was important to users of the club and its facilities.

Now, after appointing a highly respected architect in August, council is now asking the community to reconfirm these ideas before they develop the concept plans for the redevelopment, which is expected to cost around $15 million.

Council is now offering the community to have their say and also visit the next drop in session tomorrow (Saturday 10 December) from 11.00am to 1.00pm.
