NSW government continues to deliver first-class health to the Hornsby community as the newly redeveloped expansion for the Ku-ring-gai Hospital opens.

The $265 million redevelopment comes following NSW government’s commitment to deliver $11.9 billion to future health infrastructure over the next four years.

Since 2011, the NSW government has invested over $440 million in Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital.

It is understood the new hospital expansion welcomes a super-sized emergency department, roof-top helipad and Australia’s first public hospital robotic pharmacy among first-class clinical services.

Premier Dominic Perrottet said the NSW government is making the right investments in communities across the state to strengthen frontline services and deliver what people need sooner and closer to home.

“This $265 million hospital redevelopment will ensure our frontline health workers have the best facilities and equipment in the country and help secure a brighter future for NSW families,” said Mr Perrottet.

According to member for Ku-ring-gai Alister Henkens, more improvements are on the way, including oral health, chemotherapy and renal dialysis.

This stage of the project is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
