After missing an instance in 2021, the Mosman Design Awards returned with great success in 2023. The Mosman Art Gallery hosted the Awards on 27 April 2023, mayor Carolyn Corrigan, Mosman’s councillors, as well as the architects and owners who submitted their nominations came together to celebrate the finest designs Mosman has to offer.
Mosman Council recognised a number of outstanding residential projects in the 2023 Mosman Design Awards, which attracted a range of high standard entries that have contributed positively to Mosman’s built environment.
The overall winners were the contemporary New House by Dods and Zuccon Architects and a Federation home with new rear single storey addition, House for Bees, by Downie North, which both featured a range of sustainability features such as rainwater harvesting.
The People’s Choice Award Winner was Earth-Ship by Luigi Rosselli Architects, while Mosman House by Lachlan Seegers Architect and Balmoral Beach House by Queen Mab Design Studio were both Highly Commended.
