Parents in NSW are being urged to take advantage of the government’s Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers before they expire on 30 June.
Member for Manly, James Griffin, highlighted that these programs offer a $100 voucher to parents, guardians, and carers of school-enrolled children to use towards sport, active recreation, and creative activities each year.
“I am calling on the Labor Government to immediately provide certainty to local families by committing to the program, just as they promised they would prior to the March general election,” Mr Griffin said.
The vouchers provide an opportunity for parents to introduce their children to new activities without having to spend a significant amount of money.
“When families are telling me they’re struggling to keep up with the cost of mortgage repayments, groceries, energy and fuel, I can’t believe the Labor Government thinks now is a good time to burden them with another $100 per child, per year,” Mr Griffin added.
